Denture Repairs

Denture repairs can generally be done quickly. It relies on what is required to fix your dentures.

Dentures are made of an extremely resilient product, but they do not respond well to unexpected, hard forces such as porcelain sinks or tiled floors. As dentures age and fit is compromised, movement could result in tiny cracks that could fracture in time.

Persisting with old dentures well beyond their use by date can be one of the major causes. Dentures must be relined after 4 years and also replaced after 8 years as well as in some cases also less, relying on your teeth grinding practices.

Denture repairs need a specialist repair procedure. Before we can touch them (as well as after the repair service), the denture has to be completely cleaned and gone through sterilisation procedures.

Using the broken denture as a design (or sometimes we require to take an impression), we make a plaster design, grind the surface areas and blend new acrylic to repair it. They then have to be cured in a pressurized curing system. When cured they are trimmed, polished and cleaned.
